Warmth has been here for a spell,
Dry and sunny, all was well,
Temps above average, a rare sight,
Scotland and Ireland, felt the delight.

Thursday was warmest, a record high score,
23C in Aboyne, and 22 in Castlederg before,
The warmth spread south, to Wales' delight,
22.4C in Usk, a joint record in sight.

Pollen levels high, a hay fever test,
Birch and Ash trees, causing unrest,
But good news ahead, for those who suffer,
Levels will fall, to "high" or "moderate" to hover.

Temperature swings, a big diurnal range,
26C in Aboyne, a rare, unusual change,
High pressure dominated, the weather so bright,
Blocked systems, and kept us dry, day and night.

April sunny, over 100 hours in the first ten days,
Some spots, 80-85% of the monthly average, in a haze,
High pressure locked in, the jet stream too,
Sending low pressure, to the Canaries, and Iberia to pursue.
