In the UK, a new test's on the way,
To help with prostate cancer, come what may.
It's a saliva test, that's easy as can be,
Analyzing DNA, to see who's at risk, you see.
It looks for 130 mutations, that increase the score,
Men in the top 10% are invited for more.
A biopsy and MRI scan, to check for the disease,
To see if cancer's lurking, with a hidden ease.
Sir Chris Hoy's announcement, made a big impact too,
Calls for routine testing, are growing loud and new.
But experts say wait, it's not proven yet,
Years before it's ready, for the NHS to get.
Around 12,000 men die, from prostate cancer each year,
A number that's too high, and brings forth a tear.
The current test's not perfect, it causes more harm than good,
But this new saliva test, might just be the one to produce.
It's not looking for signs, of cancer inside,
But for mutations that increase, the risk with pride.
Men aged 55-69, were tested in the study,
Their risk was calculated, and their future decided.
