In Oman's land, a meeting did take place,
Between Iran and the US, a nuclear face.
Since 2018, no talks had been in sight,
A new deal was needed, to end the endless fight.
Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi did say,
"We want a fair agreement, come what may."
His spokesperson added, with a hint of glee,
"We don't think these talks will last long, you'll see."
President Trump had pulled out, in 2018's past,
A nuclear deal was needed, that would surely last.
He said he'd make a better one, with a grin so wide,
But Iran's demands were clear, they wouldn't be denied.
Araghchi spoke of indirect talks, with a knowing smile,
But Trump's envoy, Steve Witkoff, wanted to meet in style.
Face-to-face, he said, with a confident air,
But Araghchi's team was prepared, with experts to share.
The issues were clear, what kind of deal to accept,
Trump wanted a ban, on nuclear weapons to inspect.
Iran wanted relief, from sanctions so tight,
A deal to limit, but not dismantle, their nuclear might.
