Sir Keir Starmer spoke with a frown,
Comparing Farage to Truss, a similar crown.
He said their policies would crash the economy wide,
And leave the people to pick up the bills with a sigh.
Farage's Reform made big gains in the local polls,
A challenger to Labour and the Conservatives' rolls.
A spokesperson said the PM's comments were a "desperate attack",
From a party behind in the polls, with no way to turn back.
Sir Keir said Farage was "Liz Truss 2.0", a gamble so bold,
Making tax cuts without a plan to pay for them to unfold.
He accused Farage of using people's finances as a test,
A "mad experiment" that would end in a great mess.
Truss's mini-budget sparked turmoil in the markets so bright,
Increased mortgage rates, a crisis in plain sight.
Sir Keir sought to contrast himself with Farage's claim,
That Reform is the party of working people, a false fame.
He spoke of his own struggles, growing up in a crisis so dire,
Knowing what it's like to fear the postman, and bills on fire.
He said Labour would build a better life, with stable finances too,
Not like Farage's Reform, with unfunded tax cuts, what to do.
The choice is clear, said Sir Keir, between Labour's steady hand,
And Farage's Reform, with a gamble so grand.
The people must decide, which path to take with care,
A Labour government, or Farage's Reform, with no clear fare.
Farage pledged tax breaks for married couples, and winter fuel too,
But how would he pay for it, that's what the people want to know.
Some economists questioned Reform's policies, so bold and so grand,
How would they add up, that's the question in demand.
