In Staffordshire, a special place,
Trentham Monkey Forest, with a smiling face,
Three little monkeys born, a joyful sight,
A new family added, to the forest bright.
Their home is 60 acres, a haven so grand,
140 Barbary macaques, living hand in hand,
Anna Smith discovered them, during her morning round,
Baby monkeys born, in the trees all around.
Their pink faces and black fur, a sweet delight,
Clinging to mum, for love and support tight,
A precious moment, to behold and see,
A new life beginning, for the family to be.
Park Director Matt, said it's "baby season" now,
Six to ten births, a year, somehow,
The new arrivals, will learn from the rest,
The Barbary macaque way, they'll pass the test.
They'll grow and thrive, in their forest home,
With their fellow group members, they'll never be alone,
Trentham Monkey Forest, a place to care,
For the endangered Barbary macaques, with love to share.
In Morocco and Algeria, they work with care,
To protect the wild, and show they truly care,
Raising awareness, of their endangered state,
A mission to save, these monkeys' fate.
