Iran's Nuclear Programme: Talks in Muscat

US and Iran meet in Oman's sight, To negotiate a deal, and end the nuclear fight.

News illustration
In Muscat's heat, a meeting's set,
US and Iran, to talk and get,
A new deal made, to ease the test,
And nuclear fears, laid to rest.
Donald Trump pulled out, in 2018's year,
The nuclear deal, he didn't hold dear,
Sanctions were back, and Iran did fret,
Their programme's intentions, not yet met.
Iran says it's for civilian use alone,
But many doubt, and the IAEA's shown,
Secret facilities, in 2002 were found,
Breaking the NPT, a treaty unbound.
The US is keen, to get a new deal done,
But Iran's not sure, if they've won,
The nuclear game, with its risks so high,
A new agreement, before they say goodbye.
Trump's warned of bombs, if talks don't succeed,
But Iran's ready, to negotiate and proceed,
A direct deal, or so they claim to say,
But indirect talks, are the way.
The stakes are high, with nuclear fears so real,
A bomb could be made, in a week or a year to feel,
The UN and EU, imposed sanctions so tight,
Iran's economy, plunged into the night.
