In Wales, a worry's spreading fast,
A £466m cut in income to come at last,
For 190,000 people, a fearful fate,
Their future uncertain, a constant weight.
Brian Evans from Swansea, with health issues many,
Feels anxious and worried, day by day,
His PIP support's at risk, a car to maintain,
A vital lifeline, or so he'd obtain.
The Department for Work and Pensions says with pride,
We'll protect those who need our support inside,
But Brian's unsure, with a anxious heart,
Will he lose his car, and fall apart?
The reforms proposed, a £5bn goal to save,
But for Wales, it's a £466m wave,
Blaenau Gwent, Merthyr Tydfil, and Neath Port Talbot too,
Will feel the pinch, with a cut to pursue.
Sam Fathers says, "Don't panic, it's just a plan,"
But for Brian, it's a constant strain,
60% of income cut, a blow to bear,
A difficult future, with no clear care.
The UK government's aim, to save a buck,
But for Wales, it's a risk, a welfare luck,
To return to work, a try before you buy,
But even then, the numbers won't apply.
Mick Antoniw says, "The messaging's wrong,"
A Labour government, to help people belong,
To work and to thrive, a driving force true,
But for now, the reforms, a worry to pursue.
The Department responds, with a promise to keep,
Protecting those who need, a social security to reap,
But for Brian and many more, the future's unsure,
A £466m cut, a worry to endure.
