In the ocean, a heatwave did rise,
Fish were shrinking, it was a surprise.
Clownfish, like Nemo, so small and so bright,
Lost weight and height, to survive the night.
Their bodies changed, to cope with the heat,
Less food needed, and oxygen to meet.
Dr Rueger said, "It's not just a diet plan,
But a change in size, to survive the clan."
In Kimbe Bay, where the research did take place,
75% of fish shrunk, with a worried face.
Their bones and fat, may be used up too,
A new study's needed, to see what they do.
Dr Rueger joked, about a new movie scene,
"Nemo deals with change", a story unseen.
The fish may be, adapting to the heat,
A new chapter unfolds, for the ocean to greet.
Global warming's, a challenge so grand,
For warm-blooded animals, in this changing land.
They move to cooler spots, or higher ground,
Changing their timing, to survive around.
Their body size, is one way to cope,
Like the clownfish, in this ocean scope.
The research is out, in Science Advances too,
A new discovery, for us to break through.
The fish are shape-shifting, to survive the test,
Like birds, lizards, and insects, they do their best.
Their bodies adapt, to the changing sea,
A new story unfolds, for you and me.
So let's learn from Nemo, and his fish friends so dear,
About adapting to change, and banishing fear.
Their story's a reminder, of the power to change,
And surviving the heat, in this ocean range.
