Farmers Find Profit in Sustainable, Nature-Friendly Crops

Farmers face a choice, between profit and the earth's voice, But some find a way to do both, with sustainable, nature-friendly force.

In the land of England, where the sun shines bright,
A government decision, caused quite a plight.
The Sustainable Farming Incentive, was axed with a sigh,
Leaving farmers to choose, between profit or the sky.
To grow as much food, as possible to make ends meet,
Or to look after nature, and take a financial defeat.
But some farmers said, it's not a hard choice to make,
They can do both, and for nature's sake.
Aidan Stanley, a farmer so fine,
Raises beef cattle, on grass pastures divine.
No grain or fertiliser, just the natural way,
To reduce carbon emissions, every single day.
His farm is a haven, for nature to thrive,
With wildflowers and trees, that help the earth survive.
The Stanleys' farming style, is old as the land,
A way of life, that's been passed down from hand to hand.
Their restaurant is next, to the fields of green,
Where customers come, to taste the beef so serene.
Sausages and burgers, and roasts on a Sunday too,
The restaurant makes it work, for Aidan and his crew.
But not every farm, can have a restaurant so grand,
So Jimmy Woodrow, says there's a better plan.
Reduce costs on feed, and fertiliser too,
And you'll have more profit, with less to do.
The government's role, is to support the way,
For farmers to scale up, and produce more each day.
A new scheme is coming, to replace the old,
To target public funds, and help the farmers to hold.
So let's hope for the best, and a brighter future too,
For farmers and nature, and all that they do.
For a sustainable way, of farming is the key,
To a brighter tomorrow, for you and me.
