In Gaza's streets, a mother did stray,
Her heart broken, her soul astray,
Hajjah Umm Mohammed, with a heavy heart,
Her son Rifaat, torn from her every part.
He was a medic, brave and true,
Volunteering, to help see them through,
In an ambulance, with lights aglow,
He drove to help, with a heart that glowed.
But Israeli troops, with guns did fire,
And Rifaat fell, with a fatal desire,
The convoy's lights, were shining bright,
But the troops, with a mistaken sight.
The mother weeps, with a sorrow so deep,
Her son's last words, a message to keep,
"Forgive me, mother, this path I chose",
A humanitarian, with a heart that froze.
The video shows, the convoy's lights on high,
But the troops, with a mistaken sigh,
Did not see the emblem, of the Red Crescent bright,
And killed the medics, in the dark of night.
The mother's pain, is a wound so raw,
Her son's death, a tragedy to draw,
The world watches, as the truth does unfold,
A humanitarian, with a story to be told.
