In England's plans, a change is made,
For young adults, more training is displayed,
Aged 21 and under, they'll get a boost,
More opportunities, to learn and boast.
From January on, level 7's the test,
Only 16 to 21-year-olds will get the best,
Highest level apprenticeships, a master's degree too,
But employers will pay, for those who pursue.
The Conservatives cry, a disaster in sight,
Advanced NHS training, will be put to the night,
But the government says, it's a step in the right,
To create 120,000 more, training opportunities bright.
Young adults will benefit, and those who need to retrain,
A charge on employers, will help to sustain,
45,000 training places, a new way to begin,
Helping adults get work, and a brighter win.
An apprenticeship's a job, with study and with pay,
A chance to learn and earn, in a new way,
Level 2's a GCSE, level 6 and 7 too,
A bachelor's or master's degree, for those who see it through.
Bridget Phillipson, says it's good for the land,
Investing in skills, for a stronger hand,
Education and work, a perfect pair,
A brighter future, for those who care.
But Neil O'Brien, says it's a mistake,
Higher apprenticeships, will be hard to replace,
The NHS will suffer, and young people too,
A profession's dream, will be hard to pursue.
Employers will step up, to deliver the best,
But more support's needed, to pass the test,
Tutors and places, will be hard to find,
A solution's needed, to leave no one behind.
Foundation apprenticeships, a new way to start,
GCSE level, a broad introduction to work and art,
Young adults will learn, and grow with each day,
A brighter future, in a new way.
