In Birmingham's canal, a mystery did lay
Five months ago, a body was found one day
Police were called, and they started to explore
Trying to figure out who this man was before
No injuries were found, no signs of a fight
Just a body in the water, a sad and lonely sight
The police searched high and low, left and right
But no one seemed to know who this man was in sight
He was described as Asian, around fifty to sixty years old
Medium build, with black hair, a story untold
A tattoo on his hand, a symbol so fine
Ik Onkar, the Sikh symbol, a clue to divine
They asked the community, the Gurdwara too
If anyone knew this man, but no one knew what to do
They appealed to the public, to help identify the face
And bring closure to the family, in a lonely, empty space
His body was held, by the coroner so fine
Waiting for answers, a funeral to design
But still no one knew, who this man was or where
From, a mystery that lingered, with no one to care
