In England and Wales, the sun will shine bright,
Temps will rise high, a warm delight.
26C on Saturday, a lovely sight,
Summer's here, with warmth and light.
The previous spring was quite a test,
The sunniest on record, we must confess.
But now it's time for a bit of rest,
From the rain that made its presence manifest.
A weak ridge of high pressure will bring,
Warmth to the south, and make our hearts sing.
24C on Thursday, 25 on Friday too,
26 on Saturday, oh what to do.
Is it a heatwave? Let's take a peek,
Three days of 25C, that's what we seek.
But alas, it's not meant to be,
We'll just have to settle for warm weather, you see.
The highest May temp's out of reach, it's true,
And no mini-heatwave, just a few warm days for you.
Low pressure will bring rain to the north,
Scotland and Ireland, will get a soaking forth.
June is summer's first month, don't you know,
Hot spells are normal, it's just the way it goes.
Europe's hot air may come our way,
But it's far too early, to say what to say.
Big thunderstorms may come with the heat,
We'll keep an eye on the forecast, to see what's in store to meet.
So let's enjoy the sun, while it's here to stay,
And hope for a summer, that's warm and sunny each day.
