In March 2020, a world in disarray,
Lockdown was called, and life went astray.
Young people were stuck, with screens in their hand,
Social media took over, a new world to stand.
Tasha was in sixth form, her final year so bright,
She spent more time online, day and night.
She saw people catastrophizing, fear in their eyes,
The end of the world, a constant surprise.
She learned to be skeptical, to question what's real,
To sort out the truth, from the fake and the feel.
She became wiser, in her way of thinking too,
To read the news with a critical view.
Jess was in Year 10, with a similar plight,
She questioned what she read, day and night.
She'd look at multiple sources, to find the truth,
To avoid the speculation, and the endless youth.
The media was a mess, with stories all astray,
Everyone was speculating, in a major way.
Jess would look at the news, to see if it's true,
Not just one video, with a few hundred views.
