In Santo Domingo's Jet Set one night so bright,
Carwin danced with his mom, a joyful delight.
A small stone fell from the ceiling high,
No one thought the roof would come crashing by.
The percussionist, Carwin, had moved to the place,
Eight years ago, with a smile on his face.
He was with his mom, Carmen, and friends so dear,
To see Rubby Pérez sing and dance without fear.
But disaster struck, oh so fast and so bold,
The ceiling came crashing down, a story to be told.
Carwin and his mom were hit on the head,
But lucky to avoid serious injury, instead.
They found a door and escaped outside with ease,
But Carwin's friend Jessica was still trapped in the squeeze.
He went back inside, shouting her name so loud,
But no one answered, and he felt so proud.
The stones were huge, and Carwin felt so blue,
He felt useless, not knowing what to do.
He kept going back and forth, trying to call,
But the lines were down, and he felt so small.
