In Suffolk's Leiston town, a plan's been laid,
A new college's coming, in a most exciting way.
Partnering with Suffolk New College, it's a perfect pair,
Education and skills, will soon be everywhere.
In September 2027, the doors will open wide,
A comprehensive college, where young minds will reside.
With 540 apprentices, it will be a busy place,
Learning trades and skills, with a smiling face.
Julia Pyke, joint managing director, with a proud grin,
Said the college will create, a highly skilled workforce within.
A "homegrown workforce", that's what she did say,
With skills to match the needs, of Sizewell C's way.
The college will be an extension, of Suffolk New's coastal site,
Offering technical, vocational, and academic pathways bright.
For the energy, infrastructure, and engineering sectors too,
A hub for learning, with skills to pursue.
Ms Pyke said, "We're going beyond, our planning requirements high,
To deliver a new college, where public transport touches the sky."
A new apprenticeship hub, and centre of excellence too,
With local partners, to help the area, see it through.
Alan Pease, principal and CEO, with a happy face,
Said the new college will support, the local community's pace.
With expertise in vocational, and technical education too,
The college will bring, its skills to Leiston, and see it through.
Lesley Hill, the mayor, with excitement in her eyes,
Said the college will offer, opportunities, that will surprise.
For local people, a chance to learn, and grow,
A new college in Leiston, where skills will start to glow.
